How does Handwriting Recognition work on a Mac?

Handwriting recognition support is provided via the Mac OS Ink facilities rather than the recognition software supplied with Windows. Handwriting recognition is only available when a device such as a Whiteboard or graphics tablet is connected. When connected you go into system preferences and in the hardware section ink will be available. Please click on the ink icon and in there you will see the Handwriting recognition button. You need to make sure this is clicked to on. Then when you open up easiteach you will see the handwriting icon between the calculator and keyboard. Click on the handwriting button and it will now be enabled and ready to use within easiteach
