Online Tools
RM Math Framework Edition is installed and run locally from the school network or individual teacher computers, but its powerful online features enable teachers to access all of the content and the planning functions remotely from home. A connection to the web at the start or end of a planning session triggers a synchronization feature which keeps all remote work up-to-date with the school network.
Workflow and Communication Tools
As well as undertaking all of the planning functions from home, teachers can also assign work to students for completion over the internet. As described in the Testing and Assessment section of this web site, the Kaleidos software can then automatically grade the students' responses and add the results into an electronic grade book. A workflow tool enables teachers to track and monitor work assigned to students, with a built-in tool that enables teachers to communicate with students in relation to an assignment.
Student Web Site
Students access their assignments at home by browsing to the mywork.rm.com web site. Teachers are not limited to simply assigning students tests and assessments. They can create course structures for their students on the mywork site, and provide students with the classroom resources that were used to teach the particular math topic or concept. The Student Web Site can help you to extend the teaching and learning process beyond the physical limits of the school building and the time constraints of the school day!
