Testing and Assessment
The RM Math Framework Edition curriculum includes a large number of provided tests, homework assignments and assessment pieces, as well as a Test tool which enables teachers to quickly and easily create their own standards-aligned tests and assessments.
Test Builder Tool
The Test Builder Tool provides six different question types, enabling teachers to set students a variety of challenges:
- True / False
- Multiple choice, single response
- Multiple choice, multiple response
- Fill in the blanks
- Slider
- Short answer
Like other lesson materials, questions and tests can be easily shared, allowing teachers to re-use and re-purpose existing materials.
Review Tests
A workflow tool enables teachers to track and monitor work assigned to students, with built-in communication tools that allow teachers to communicate directly with students in relation to an assignment.
Electronic Gradebook
Kaleidos can automatically grade tests created using the Test Builder Tool and add the results into an electronic gradebook (the Kaleidos Markbook). This helps to reduce administration time and gives teachers more time to analyze results and to focus on student performance.
The Markbook Tool can really help teachers to monitor student performance closely to State standards, but with a very low administrative overhead.
Markbook Report
Kaleidos electronic gradebooks can also produce a printed synopsis that can be a very useful resource for student reviews and parent-teacher conferences.
