Lesson Planning

The easy-to-use Kaleidos planning tools within RM Math Framework Edition enable teachers to create highly differentiated curricula, align teaching and learning to State standards, and to share best practice with colleagues District-wide.

Kaleidos Search Feature

All of the more than 2,000 math activities included in the RM Math Framework Edition curriculum are tagged to individual State-based learning standards, and any new resources that teachers add to the system are also tagged to State standards. All of these resources can be explored using either a keyword or a learning standard search, helping teachers to plan and teach closely to the standards. The screenshot image right shows the search results based on a Massachusetts learning standard. Teachers can preview the resources, view any supporting files, and then using the simple drag-and-drop feature, add appropriate resources to a course or lesson plan.

Kaleidos Shared Area

The Kaleidos tools strongly promotes the sharing of best practice. Exemplar courses, lessons and resources can be shared with colleagues simply by dragging them to the Shared Area. This can greatly enhance productivity and provide a higher degree of consistency amongst teachers. These collaborative features of Kaleidos can help to support non-specialists or teachers who are new to the profession.

Planning At Home

The web features of Kaleidos enable all of the planning functions to be used by teachers at home. A process called synchronization keeps everything done remotely in step with all of the work you do within school.
