Your journey to success
Here at RM Education, we understand that applying for a new job is a two-way process. We want to attract people who will fit in with our culture and enjoy working with us, and it's just as important that the role is right for you too.
Check out our Culture and Values where you can find out more about who we are, or even play our interactive Puzzle Blocks values game. You can also find the key competencies we look for in our employees (sometimes referred to as 'behaviours'), in What we're looking for.
We've outlined below an overview of our typical application process (this may vary depending on the role you apply for):
Telephone Interview
Once you have applied on-line, we'll review your CV and if successful, we'll arrange a telephone interview via our online system which gives you various times slots to choose from. This is a 30-45 minute interview with one of the recruiters focused on both the role competencies as well as gaining an insight into your degree and any work experience you may have. We'll explore your interest in working for RM Education and what you are looking for.
Online Assessments
Following the telephone interview stage, we may invite you to complete some online SHL verbal and numerical assessments at home and email you a link to click on and access the assessments. We've included some useful Hints and Tips later on in this section to help you.
Graduate Introduction Day
Once we have received your results and you have met the bench mark we require, we'll ask you to attend a Graduate Introduction Day for half a day. You'll be interviewed by the hiring manager and to gain an insight into 'what we do', an RM Education Graduate will take you on a tour of our 'RM Real Centre'. This will give you an opportunity to really see and interact with some of our innovative products and it is also a good chance to find out more about the company and what it's like to be a graduate here.
This half day is designed for the Hiring Manager to gain a clear understanding of your potential and for you to gain a clear understanding of the role and RM Education as a company.
You'll be asked to bring your passport/proof of your right to work in the UK at this stage.
Final Graduate Assessment Day
If successful, you'll be invited to attend a Final Assessment Day which will consist of the following:
- In-depth competency based interview with the line manager and a representative from HR.
- Group exercise which is designed to explore your team working and communication skills.
- Role play or a problem solving task. The problem solving task is an individual exercise where your ability to work with new information and find solutions will be assessed.
- You will be given the opportunity to ask questions about the company, culture and the role, At this stage it is important that you gain a real understanding into what we do and the role you have applied to.
Feedback
Whether you're successful or not, we'll contact you and provide interview feedback and you will also be given the opportunity to provide feedback on how we can improve our process.
At RM Education, one of our core values is 'Respect for Others' and as such we always apply objective criteria to assess potential suitability for jobs and career opportunities.
The Offer Stage
If you're successful, we'll be delighted to contact you and discuss the details of your employment offer. We'll also begin to consider a mutually agreeable start date at this stage.
